Chapathi.. soft soft



Ingredients :

Wheat flour - 1 tumbler
Butter - 3  tbsp
Salt - 1/2 tbsp
Water - 1/2 tumbler
Maids - 1 cup ( to dust )
Oil - 1 cup

Preparation :

We need to prepare the dough atleat an hour prior we make chapathi....else kneed in boiling water and lay immediately..... It may hurt hand ...so kneed with a spatula..

Now how to prepare the dough?

Take wheat flour...add butter kneed well....the flour will be messy....then add salt ....and water..... Blend with hands....and make a ball of it

Now coat it with oil or ghee to avoid the outer layer getting dry.... Cover with a tight lid ...

Now time for chapathi...

With the amount I have coated you can make 6 chapatti....

Now make 6 balls of the dough each of even size......

Meanwhile heat the thava in low flame.... When you roll the chapatti... The thava will be hot enough to cook your chapatti.

Take maids in a large vessel....dust the wheat ball in it.....

Place the dusted wheat ball in a flat surface... And roll on with the rolling pin......to spread ....spread to make a circle of your palm size......

Now place the chapatti in the thava ..manage heat on medium flame........

You can see fine pop ups in the top layer...time to turn the top to the thava.....again when you find pops ...spread oil all around the chapatti....This oil will get inbetween the thava and bottom of chapatti... Meanwhile rub oil on the top layer..... Now turn again....leave for 1/2 a second .....and remove of thava ....

Now serve hot...you can also replace ghee for oil.
