 Whole Wheat Banana Bread

Quiet a easy recipe with everything available in your kitchen also kids will finish this in no time. This is a simple recipe for beginners in baking. Made with wheat flour and ripe banana. A perfect evening snack with milk / snacks box to school / 11am snack. Kids favorite.


Ingredients:

Ripe Banana - 1

Whole Wheat Flour - 1/2 cup

Curd - 2 tbsp

Sugar - 1/4 cup

oil - 2 1/2 tbsp

Baking Powder - 1/4 tsp

Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp

Chocolate chips - 2 tbsp

Vanilla essence - 1/4 tsp

Preparation:

Grab a wide, large bowl.

let's start with the wet ingredients.

Mash the banana in the bowl.

Add  curd, sugar, oil, and vanilla essence to the mashed banana and then thoroughly combine.

Sift in the dry ingredients baking powder, baking soda, and whole wheat flour to the wet ingredient. Blend thoroughly. 

Chocolate chips are added. Remix thoroughly.

Place the batter in a tiny loaf pan (3 by 6 inches) that has been lined with parchment paper.

Bake this in a preheated oven for 20 -25 minutes at 180C until toothpick comes out clean.

Alternate procedure:

Baking in steamer:

Any small steel bowl greased with butter and dusted with maida will help in this procedure.

Heat the steamer with enough water to boil for 30 minutes. Place a stand in the steamer and once it comes to boil place the bowl with batter on the stand and cover it and let it boil for 20-25 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

Slice it once its completely cooled down. 

Serve with hot milk.
