Badam halwa



Ingredients :

Badam - 250 grams
Sugar - 250 grams
Water - 250 ml
Saffron strands - 1 tsp
Milk - 1 tbsp
Ghee - 10 tbsp

Preparation :

Soak badam in hot water for 1 hour.....

Later peal badam skin and split it into two half's....and 4 badam of it separately.......

Grind one half to a smooth paste.... The other half to granules....and the left over 4 badam to be hand crushed .....

Now heat a thick bottom kadai.....heat water and sugar to boil and dissolve.....no string consestiency required..... Its spoon eatable not making bar's.......now add all the badam.....
Smooth paste,granules, and hand crushed to it......

Keep adding ghee now and then..... Manage a balanced split till the end.....and towards the end keep 3 tbsp of ghee .......

Keep stirring in slow flame......

Meanwhile soak saffron strands 1/2 tsp in 1 tbsp of hot milk.

When your halwa is about to leave the walls of the vessel....hand crush the saffron strands soaked in milk and add to this and mix well......remove of flame and transfer to a jar or serving bowl.  .top it with remaining saffron strands....add left over 3 tbsp of ghee and complete the recipe.....

This can be shelfed for a week....and served......
