I've tried dam briyani in cooker......it does gives the same taste and flavour......
Ingredients:
Onion - 3 no's ( large ) fine sliced
Tomato - 3 no's ( medium ) fine sliced
Coriander leaves - 1 cup
Pudina leaves - 1 cup
Green chilli - 2 no's cut to slits
Lemon 1/2 - extract juice seeds removed
Curd fresh - 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 5 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Dhaniya powder - 1 1/4 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp
Chicken - 250 gms
( cooked with turmeric powder a pinch with chicken stock water 1/2 tumbler)
Rice ( seeraga samba ) - 1 tumbler
(Washed and soaked half an hour prior water drained)
Water - 3 tumbler
Salt to taste
Spices :
Bay leaf - 1 no's
Black stone flower ( kalpasi ) - 1 tsp
Saunf ( damped ) - 1 tsp
Clove - 4 no's
Cardamom - 3 no's
Star anise - 1/2
Preparation :
Heat cooker bottom and add
Oil 4 tbsp + ghee 4 tbsp

Preparation :
Heat cooker bottom and add

When you smell the aroma of ghee...add the spices....first saunf,then bay leaf,black stone flower ( kalpasi),cloves.....and all..saute to get fragrance....
Then add onion.....
Cook to golden brown....
Add tomato....and saute To cook well and add coriander and pudhina....and green chilli
Now add ginger garlic paste
Curd
Lemon juice
Cooked chicken with chicken stock water
Add water...chilli powder, dhaniya powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt and mix well
Add rice.. Mix well ...and cover to cook for 15 minutes in low flame.... Put gascut.....but not whistle
Open...and check for rice...it will look like this.........now give a mix and cook again covers in slow flame for 10 minutes...
Open and mix and transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot with onion salad....
