Spicy chicken gravy






Ingredients :

Chicken - 500 gms
Saunf - 1 1/2 tbsp ( partially crushed )
Cinnamon - 2 inch
Cloves - 8 no's
Pepper - 1/2 tbsp
Onion - 2 no's fine sliced
 (I used pearl onion 8 no's for gud taste)
Green chilli - 2 no's
Ginger garlic paste - 4 tbsp
Black stone flower - 4 pieces
Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
Dhaniya powder - 2 tbsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp
Coriander - 1 cup (fresh,clean & chopped)
Curry leaves - 1/2 cup

Preparation :

Boil 3 tumbler of water and  immerse chicken in it.....add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and cook for 7 mintes....

They will get spongy once cooked....at this very stage ...add chill powder , dhaniya powder,ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp,saunf 1/2 tbsp , salt and let it boil to reduce to half the amount of water....

Now in a Kadai heat oil ....add saunf 1/2 tbsp.....black stone flower  2 pieces,cinnamon ,cloves ,then add onions 3/4 of the mentioned quantity....then saute now add pepper..... saute till Onions get transparent.....and set to cool ......make smooth paste of it......

Now heat a Kadai.......add oil.....now add black stone flower 2 pieces ,saunf 1/3 tbsp,ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp .....and saute the left over Onions...... saute till the Onions get transparent.....now add the chicken cooked.....and saute.....for 1 minute....then add the paste.......now mix well....and add 1/4 tumbler of chicken stock water.....from which we removed the cooked chicken.....then add garam masala...and mix well....

Leave in slow flame .....keep tossing now and then.... once you find the oil getting separated from the dish.....remove from flame.....add fresh coriander and serve hot....  

It goes gud with Briyani.....chapatti..... dosa....or to any combination of your taste.....
