Mangalore Bonda

Simple and easy evening snack





Ingredients :

Maida - 2 cup
Curd - 1 cup
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
Onions - 1 no's ( finely chopped )
Green Chilli - 1 no's ( finely chopped )
Ginger - 1/2 inch ( finely chopped )
Coriander - 1/2 cup ( finely chopped )
Curry leaves - 1/4 cup ( finely chopped )
Salt to taste.
Cooking soda ( optional ) - 1 pinch
Oil - 2 cups

Preparation :

Mix all the above ( except cooking soda) and soak for at least 3-4 hours.

Heat up oil and mix the batter once before you start off.

Add cooking soda if you prefer more soft and fluffy bonda.

Mix cooking soda with water and add for better mixing.

Now use a ladle to drop off the batter into oil.

Fry them to golden  brown , flip and remove off oil.

Note :

Don't crowd the oil.
Drop on batches.
Not more than 5 - 6 in a batch.
See to that you don't take much time in between every bonda you drop.
