Poha ( instant receipe )


Preparation time : 5 minutes 
Cooking time : 5 minutes
Serves : 4 people




Ingredients :

Rice flakes - 4 cups
Mustard - 1 tsp
Groundnut - 1/2 cup
Onions - 1 large finely chopped
Green chilli - 2 finely chopped
Curry leaves - 1/2 cup
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Sugar ( optional ) - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 4 tbsp
Salt to taste

Preparation :

Wash and drain the poha in a sieve.
Keep it aside to rest.


Meanwhile heat up a pan and add oil to it.
Once hot add mustard and let them splutter.
Then comes in groundnut.
Saute them to cook crisp.
Now add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves.


Saute them to get transparent.
Once they get cooked add lime juice , turmeric powder and sugar.


Mix well.
Now add the poha .
Mix carefully so that you don't break the poha.
Cover and leave it for 1 minute in low flame.
Now again open the pan , mix and serve hot.



Note :

Start to prepare the receipe once you soak and strain them.
Soaking time is jus equivalent to the time of preparing tadka.
 This is a very instant receipe which can be made in 5 minutes.
The rice flakes are supposed to be thick.
Thin flakes will loss shape so do prefer the thick flakes.
