Thiruvathiri kali Prasadam
Ingredients :
Raw rice ( pacha arisi ) - 1 cup
Moong Dal ( paasi parupu ) - 1/2 cup
Coconut grated - 1/2 cup
Jaggery - 3/4 cup
Cardamon powder - 1 pinch
Water - 3 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cashew - 10 ( broken )

Preparation :
Heat a pan and dry roast raw rice in it.
Roast in slow flame.
The rice will puff up a little.
It will look like this .

Now remove from pan and keep it aside to cool.
Then grind it to Broken rice rava.
( Check image for grinding consistency )

In the same pan dry roast moong Dal to smell aroma and cool aside.
Now add water to the pan let it boil it.
To this add moong Dal .
Wait for it to cook ( the ends will split ).
At this stage add the broken rice rava.
Use a whisk to avoid lumps.
When the rice is half cooked add grated coconut and cardamon powder.
Now add Jaggery ( broken to small piece ).
Mix well to mash up.
To this add ghee roasted cashew , mix them again.
Then transfer to a vessel and finish the divine offering.
To this add moong Dal .
