Mutton kozhambu / Mutton curry
The most delicious Authentic south Indian non-veg receipe.
So yummy and tasty with Chapathi , Idly , Dosa , Appam , Idiyapm or Plain White Rice
The mouthwatering Kozhambu / Curry is so easy to make and simply lipsmacking.
Ingredients :
Shallots - 15 sliced + 5 whole shallots
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp
Tomato - 1/2 sliced
Saunf - 1 tsp
Cloves - 3
Cinnamon - 1/4
Chilli powder - 3/4 tbsp + 1/4 tsp
Dhaniya powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp + 1/4 tsp Pepper - 1/4 tsp
Coconut grated - 1/4 cup
Cashew - 4
Gingelly oil - 3 tbsp + 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1/2 cup
Coriander - 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp
Tomato - 1/2 sliced
Saunf - 1 tsp
Cloves - 3
Cinnamon - 1/4
Chilli powder - 3/4 tbsp + 1/4 tsp
Dhaniya powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp + 1/4 tsp Pepper - 1/4 tsp
Coconut grated - 1/4 cup
Cashew - 4
Gingelly oil - 3 tbsp + 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1/2 cup
Coriander - 1/2 cup
Preparation :
Cook mutton with immersable amount of water with ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp , chilli powder 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1/4 tsp, pinch of salt.
Pressure cook for 7 whistle in medium flame.
Then in low flame for 10 minutes .
Heat a pan and add oil to it .
Add spices to the oil . Once you smell the aroma add shallots ( 5 ) , pepper and cashew.
Saute until the shallot get transparent and looks cooked .
Now set it aside to cool .
Once it's completely cooled add coconut grated to this and make smooth paste in food processor.
To a pan add oil , add saunf then to this add sliced shallots ( 15 sliced )and tomatoes .
Saute them to cook well. Now add ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp and curry leaves.
To this add the cooked Mutton with the water .
Now add Chilli powder 3/4 tbsp, dhaniya Powder , turmeric powder 1/4 tsp , Garam masala and salt. Let it boil until the water reduce to half .
Now to this add the groud paste prepared. Let it boil for 2 minutes in low flame .
Then remove off flame and add coriander leaves. Wonderful Mutton curry / Mutton kozhambu Is deliciously prepared .
Goes good with Idly , Dosa , Chapathi or Plain White Rice.
