Spicy Potato Onions
Ingredients :
Potato - 5
(medium - peal and cut to cubes of 1/2 inch )
Onion - 1 ( finely chopped )
Soya sauce - 1 tsp ( optional )
Tomato sauce - 1 tsp ( optional )
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Oil - 3 tbsp
Masala required to marinate :
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 3/4 tsp
Chat masala - 1/4 tsp
White pepper - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 4 tbsp
Preparation :
Boil potato to half cook.
Drain water and keep it aside.
Heat the oil and add to the masala powder.
Mix well and to this mix the cooked potato and leave it for 1/2 an hour.
Heat oil in a deep pan and add sliced onions once hot.
Saute to cook , then add curry leaves , ginger garlic paste and coriander.
( Soya says and tomato sauce to be added in this stage if it's preferred )
Now once the mixer gets soft add the marinated potatoes and mix well.
Leave in low flame.
Mix now and them to avoid them from getting burnt or catch up the pan.
Leave on slow flame for around 1/2 an hour with stirring now and then.
Serve hot with any rice , tastes yum .
