Ingredients : ( to serve 1)
Cardamom - 2
Dry ginger ( chukku in Tamil) - 1/2 inch
Tea powder
( any flavorless brand) -1/2 tsp
Milk - 3/4 tumbler
Water - 1/2 tumbler
Sugar - 2 tsp
Preparation of this powder can be made for a week ..not more to preserve....this will lose flavor.
Quality :( to prepare for a week)
Dry ginger - 50 gms
Cardamom - 10 no's
You can grind this in dry mixer grinder (do check the mixer if its dey without water for your flavor to last long)... To make fine powder.....try to tape dry ginger to get lose....since its too stiff to grind in mixer grinder..... Do tape it.
Transfer to a dry air tight container and use a dry spoon.
I crush it in my small stone crusher which you can see in the display picture.
Preparation : ( to serve 1)
Make a fine powder of dry ginger and cardamom.....keep this aside .
Boil 1/2 tumbler of water in a vessel....when water boils add the powder prepared 1/2 tsp and tea powder 1/2 tsp...boil in to half the amount of water.
Now add hot milk 3/4 tumbler....filter.....add sugar 2 tsp and serve hot.
This gives good refreshment.... After a sound sleep.....and a good refreshment for a rainy evening....
