Jeera rice

A simply Indian rice variety



Ingredients:

Jeera ( cumin seeds) - 1 tsp
Basmati rice - 1 1/2 cups 
( washed and soaked in water for 30 minutes )
Water - 3 cups
Ghee - 1 tsp
Cashew ( whole) - 10 no's
Coriander leaves - 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Preparation :

Boil 3 cups of water in a vessel....... Add salt and rice and mix well.....when half cooked ......drain excess water and....set aside to cool.

Now melt ghee in a non-stick pan......add cumin seeds....wait to splitter...add rice and salt ( not much since we hav added salt early taste before you add and after you add).........toss to mix....

Sprinkle some water for the rice to cook......since its half cooked.....now cover for 4-5 minutes.....

Open check if cooked ....

Now again melt ghee in another pan....add cashew... Toss till golden brown....garnish it on the completed rice....toss....add coriander leaves.... Mix well .its over.

Serve hot with Panner butter masala...its in my blog.....
