Ingredients :
Fresh green peas - 1 cup
Onions - 4
(3 cut to cubes & 1 fine sliced)
Tomato - 3 cut to cubes
Ginger - 1tbsp chops
Garlic - 1 tbsp chops
Green chilli - 2 no's vertically cut
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
Cashew - 15 no's
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Dhaniya powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp
Kasuri methi - 1/2 tbsp
Oil - 4 tbsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
( washed & chopped )
Preparation :
Heat oil in a kadai....and add onion toss to transparent then add in tomato.... Cook to soft....then add ginger, garlic, green chili ,poppy seeds & cashews (6 no's )...saute well and keep aside to cool and grind to smooth paste.....
Wash and soak green peas in immersible water...and pressure cook for 3 whistle.... Then open and add chilli powder,dhaniya powder ,turmeric powder and salt .....cook for 3-4 minutes with stirring now and then at medium flame.....
Now melt ghee In a pan and add Kasuri methi and then add sliced onions.... Saute to golden brown.... And add this to the peas cooking.....
Meanwhile grind the left over cashew and milk to smooth paste and keep aside.....
Finally after you add the fried onions......this give you a mild sweet taste......stir and add in garam masala... Turn off flame and cashew milk paste......then stir ..this will give a thick gravy.....then garnish with coriander leaves..... And serve hot. .
This yummy ....creamy .....gravy.....is simply tasty with any Indian bread, chapathi or any pulao....or fried rice......
